I have read and reread the tutorials on making celtic knots and laminating scrolls into blanks, but in none of them does it recomend a particulre glue to use, wood on wood i assume a pva glue but what about wood to plastic and metals ( drink cans) for mine read beer cans LOL, just wondering what you all use / prefer and why
Cheers

CA has been a good choice for me due to the quick setting times and minimum clamping time required.

I have used PvA with wood but tends to take several days to get a Celtic knot done with me.

The 5 min epoxy is good for mixed materials, such as Ali, acrylics and wood.

CA is good for all material types and is a versatile medium for that purpose.

But, the smells and fumes it gives off is not nice and you do need to make sure you protect yourself well from them..

Ray for serpentine and Celtic knot blanks made of wood I use Elmers wood glue, it's white in colour. For dissimilar materials I use Gorilla glue. I use Gorilla to glue in tubes. You can also use epoxy but I think that's overkill.

Ray for Serpentine and Celtic knot blanks made of wood whichever wood glue you favor will work. For dissimilar materials I use Gorilla glue. I use Gorilla to glue in tubes. You can also use epoxy but I think that's overkill.

In the tutorial section there is a newly added pdf of an article I wrote for the AAW journal on my process for making the Serpentine blank.
