Rowdy,

Camphor has considerable influence in this world for its use in blanket boxes etc for ever it seems. A mate of mine not a sensitive new age person bleeds profusely from his nose even carving it. This is not my experience at all it clears my sinuses immediately.

Your Camphor pen is delightful with grain I have not seen in that timber before I notice you reversed the blanks when you completed turning and I like that as well. Woody I agree with you I have seen shavings of Camphor bring a high price sold in Muslim bags at Pen Sales together with the incredible pheremones exuded by Huon Pine Timber both highly regarded to keep moths etc out of linen cupboards.

Camphor on this side of Australia is a declared weed pest yielding incredible timber in brilliant hues highly sought after for bowls and huge platters.

Thanks for showing your pen.

Kind regards Peter.:goesred:
