Couple of Sierra's in Jarrah Burl which is a real pain and wants to fall apart all the time but looks fine when finished. The Omega is in Thuya. CA finish on both. Jarrah looks dry as a bone but won't take a finish without acetone or meths so pressume a lot of oil in it?

When our daughter in West Aust. built their A Framed house the entire frame was built in Jarrah for strength. Been there in gale winds they live on the coast. Mini cyclone stuff.
