Hi, Guys,
Way back, when Lord Woody thought his days of wood-turning were numbered (untrue, fortunately!) he began clearing out his stocks of tools and wood. He sent me a goody bag full of interesting pen blanks, including a single stick of Black Ash. I've never turned a piece of this before and thought it would look good on a gold Sedona. I was right - it's a corker!
Sanded to 600, three coats of friction polish, (plus an invisible repair I had to make when a chip flew off into the wide blue yonder - my workshop floor!)
Regards to all,
Bob.
