Here are a couple of Sierra stylus in African Blackwood, i have chosen a couple with sapwood in both.
one in chrome and one in gold, all finished with friction polish and Renaissance wax.

At first glance I thought that 2 different blanks were
stacked and random cut lengthwise, then swap the
pieces.
