Greetings pen people.
Made this today. The wood is dyed and stabilised buckeye burr from a batch of different coloured blanks I bought off a guy on Facebook. The threads and finials are cellulose acetate and the accents & logo coin are sterling silver. Fitted with a Bock nib.
I always fully sleeve the cap on wooden pens, and I decided to fully sleeve the barrel on this one as well, partly to give a better mechanical (threaded) joint for the finials. The final photo shows the component parts. (I dispensed with the red collar on the section in the end).
Cap threads are 13mm and the pen is around 145mm closed.
Cheers
Ash
