I found this Masur birch pen whilst sorting out some gear today, interesting to see how differently I used to turn slim-lines, tending to go tight to the bushes on all ends.
It also shows a distinct lack of shine even though it was in a plastic pen tube, it would have been finished with a Carnauba wax stick as was my preference 5 years or so ago.

Still I'm glad it got misplaced until now, it's good to find reminder of past work.

I have a few pens to look back on.. most of them should have gone in the bin..

That looks good though Doug. quite nice shape. finish is good and at least you can polish it up again.:ciggrin:

Yet we were so proud of the pens we first made as we are with the pens of today .. Great find Doug, and thanks for sharing .. :winking:

Nothing wrong with that Doug. I've seen people selling a lot worse and all it needs is a bit of a shine.
