Someone asked me to make a Celtic pen from Bloodwood for them. I'd never turned this wood before - it was OK, but not my favourite wood to turn. A bit prone to picking up the grain, so it was left a smidge oversize then sanded down.

I believe in your technique with some timbers especially with tuberous stuff like Palm Tree and Grass tree. I like these little pens and yours.

I like the pen and Kit David .. It looks good .. With this wood though i just tend to use it for segmenting, may give it a go on a pen .. :thumbs:
