Bog oak

This is the second I've turned from a batch of bog oak but forgot to photograph the first before giving it away.
It turns well if a bit prone to splintering but makes your hands black. On a Sedona kit finished with one coat of sealer and a couple of microcrystalline wax to keep it natural.

Superb pen Bob. Some don't feel attracted to the open grains, but I prefer it to a smooth finish. I've done both, and like a more natural appearance and texture. Well done.
