Forever wanting to play, I decided to have another go at boiling wood. The pile is part of what I cut down yesterday and I've sawed a part of it into pen blank size, well sort of pen blank size but a bit larger and have now put them on to boil for an hour. I will then try and dry them out on the side of the aga and turn one on Tuesday.

The pile of wood is Ash and Birch.

Maybe the aga has been "relocated" to the workshop along with Paul and his bed, clothes and a supply of tinned food :whistling:
I wouldn't get away with it:rolling:

Correction was out... Funny enough she's ok about it, that was my pan that was given to me for this purpose and apart from a slight moan about the sawdust thats it... Hooray... now to bring in a tree trunk :funny:

I dunno if I would get away with it or not but fortunately I don't have the urge to try.

Do you put the wood in, then bring it to the boil Paul.
Or do you put the wood in already boiling water?:thinks:

Pardon my thickness, but as no one else has asked I must be the only one who doesn't know why you'd want to boil wood :nooidea: :goesred: what does it do?

Because its bloody tuff to eat raw Ray :funny::funny:
