I’ve been asked to make a book themed light pull or pen. Anyone have any suggestions of a blank I can use, or any other ideas?

A few options open to you,.... A label cast blank with a picture of a book spine or library shelf??
You could do a paper wrap with a book page and then cast??
Or go the whole hog and do a micarta cast, basically laminate pages together with resin and build up to a usable thickness, I have turned some from denim jeans

I tried clear casting over a label attached to a tube once, it wasn’t successful. Maybe I’ll try again. Any tips or tutorials on this?

There are a few good casters out there who will do a one off blank for you.... Scott Walker for one
