Hi guys,

Tried my first bottle stopper. It was made from a piece of used mahogany wood from the old Southbourne Hotel in Tenby. It was the worktop of the "Cosy Bar" in the guests lounge.

Just checking, being quite new to woodworking in general I am not great at identification of different species lol, the industrial Unit I was in up untill about a year ago had a window fitting Company next door, use to raid their skip & rescued quite a few really nice bits of mahogany. One of their fitters said the wood they were ripping out was far better quality than the new stuff they were putting in lol
