Box with finial

Just a little three centre box made for Northumbrian Woodturners club competition. didn't win anything but had fun making it.

Not sure about the body Mark, the blank was something I won in a raffle at the club and it wasn't marked with the species. Think it might be London plane. The finial is made from a Rosewood pen blank supplied by Neil Lawton

No Neil, The competition was on Friday and Phil's demo was on Saturday.

Looks more like Elm not London Plane. The box is from London plane and the bowl is Elm

Thanks Derek, Like I say, really not sure about the wood, I have pieces in both elm and plane that look similar. Wouldn't argue with anyone who said it was one or the other.
