Some of the Box I bought at the show yesterday dressed in a gunmetal streamline. I had a go at threading with a bit of it as well and I think that with practice I'll be able to start to create the pen I've wanted to make for a long time. Just need the correct tap and die.

I bought 2 logs yesterday Woody, one of which is about 6" diameter x 9" long. I've never played with Box before so I might have a go at making a box with a screw top.

Great looking pen Paul. I also would like to see your thread making adventure on a turned box from box

I have a nice Box log which is earmarked for threaded boxes and I have a complete Box Shrub complete with branches that gave up the ghost many years ago. I did think about using some of the branches for pens, but thought they might be too nondescript, I think I will try a couple and see if they have some detail like your does, it's a lovely pen.
