Found some in The ToolPost | wood turning tools | woodcarving tools
price range from £85 to £185 depending on size, has anyone used these ones ?
Sorry cannot get link, i searched branding iron in their search page.
Yes, I use a toolpost brand but bought a different iron to the one they sell with it. The brand itself is fine, no complaints at all, but I can't comment on the toolpost iron I'm afraid.
Might not be an option Johnny but my mate, sadly with us no more, made his own to use on his carvings.
He bought an old h/d electric soldering iron from a boot sale, the type with removeable soldering tip then he fashioned one out of brass which is easy enough to work and it lasted as I know he used it for years. Previous to that he'd made one from a traditional iron which he heated with a blowtorch though I never saw that one used.
It's on my ever increasing to do list so one day maybe!
