I ain't allowed to hobble to shed and back no more cos it hurts and the swelling ain't improving.
My Drain is making me put me feet up, she went out shopping with son 1, while she was out son 2 came round to keep an eye on me.
I made him carry me little metal lathe indoors and set it up in spare room bring some pen blanks, kits, ca drill bits and scratch.

Of all the kits he could have got he picked out the Polaris, shit my Drain is back home I have to put up with them init?
So having a play at putting rollerball refills in em and stuff, I hate Zebrano and I hate Polaris but I like playing and came up with this.

P1100192.jpg P1100184.jpg

A mix of some previously done mess abouts which I found in the room.
Left is a polaris with rollerball middle is a blank Paul M sent I guessing at Thatchers cider wood, the belt is the bottom ring off a Polaris finial, right is a Turkish Walnut.

Crikey Brian if you didn't have enough to put up with you get given a Polaris kit :sob: still looks like you got the best of it and the Zebrano looks pretty good to me

With an RB in em they dunarf write nice init?
That stupid finial cap has to go but I don't mind the top twist and they can be made quite chunky for a tarts pen.
Might be inclined to play with some more or am I just being sick?
Tube needs lengthening by I think about 27mm so it makes a better pen by just doing that.
Zebrano never looks good to me it always seems a dirty looking wood, I like a nice clean grain with good lines or a Burr.

And before anyone thinks the polaris is plastic, it's African blackwood.

I am surrounded by the arseholes that go on that program, I sure wouldn't wanna watch em on telly init?
I sat and watched a news program today and something called desperate housewifes came on, have to have a look at that it I thought.
It weren't what I was hoping it would be turned over and watched coast instead. Boring knowing what's on poxy telly init?
Got a lathe indoors now that'll be fun, even got permission to use it as it ain't as noisy as she thought it would be.

Keep your chin up, and your tools sharp! Good to see the illness is not getting you down - and yep - daytime telly is crap.
Lovely pens - all the very best for a fast recovery,
