Hi pen people

Just thought I'd share this as I am vey taken by this blank from Turners Warehouse. It's cellulose acetate and is very eye catching. I used brown acrylic for the finials/section.

I should also mention the fantastic Bock no8 Semi flex titanium nib from Beaufort Ink. I've already expressed my appreciation for these nibs before so, suffice to say, I am a big fan.

This pen has 14mm cap threads just so I could make a wider section for the larger nib housing. I usually make pens with 13mm threads but they extra mm makes a lot of difference.

Sterling silver metalwork apart from the chrome plated steel clip, also from Beaufort Ink
Cheers

Very nice. What size nib do you use with a 13mm thread. I have 12 x 0.8 triple lead taps what size nib would you recomend I use .
Thank you!

I tend to stick to no6 nibs for 13mm cap threads (I switch between Bock and Jowo).

I have made 12mm pens with no6 nibs but I didn't rebate the very end lip of the nib housing into the section just to avoid making the walls very thin at the end. I've also used no5 nibs which do afford a lot more room for manoeuvre and make it easier to shape the section.

Cheers
