Dusted off my pen turning gear today, I can’t remember when I last turned a pen but thought it was about time I did.
First off I glued up a couple of blanks I’d forgotten how messy it can be.

Next it was sorting out bushing fortunately I’d stored mine in a plastic container unfortunately I couldn’t remember which was which so out the callipers came.

Finally the finished Brown Oak slimline pen, finish in aerosol spray lacquer as most other finishes I’ve got had gone solid in their tins :duh:

Not my finest but at least it’s a start.

It is Alex, many years ago I had a few failures when using CA usually because the glue hadn’t spread completely round the tube, I move to PU & have never had the problem again but the down side is it’s messy.
The other bonus is I use this glue at work as it’s flooring adhesive so I’ve always got some.

That’s good, a ready supply of glue to hand. I am always buying CA or tubes of epoxy glue it seems at the moment 😃
