Looks good Paul, nice finish on it too .. Thou i am beginning to believe there is a bit of prejudice going on in this forum, there is clearly a Plonker moment in the first post and it has been completely ignored, had this been Terry or Ed, to name a few i am sure the word Plonker would have been used early in this thread ...

Are we walking out guys ... Downing tools or what ... :monkon::monkon:

I guess its because I'm still new/young/good looking and people are being polite at the moment Jim... My guess is it won't last. :winking:

Actually Jim I did notice ...No notice was taken as it was deemed to be a deliberate attempt to try and qualify for entry into this most honourable of clubs .Contrary to popular belief we don't just accept any T,D or P.:bwink:

Paul, That is indeed how you spell it, a wood from west Africa, but are you sure it is Bubinga? Looks like Pau Rosa or similar to me, never seen Bubinga so red and so uniform, all the bubinga I've seen and used is pink with red flecks?? Regardless its a nice pen.

This is the first time I've used it Neil, I bought it at the festival of the tree at Westonbirt Arboretum earlier this year and it has Bubinga marked on it..... so it might be Buginga or I might just have ben conned. It is a nice piece of wood as a lump though and has a lot of swirls like a burr. I would have cut more off and got a better piece if it hadn't jumped up and smashed through the plate on my saw bench... That's the 3rd plate this year, I guess I'm doing something wrong like having the blade too high.... maybe someone knows?
