Gillette Mach III on Winchester .300 Magnum Rifle Cartridges shown in the 1st four photos.
Last 2 photos show the Gillette Fusion Proglide on Nickel plated Lapua .338 Rifle Cartridges.
It's surprising how many of these I sell at the gun shows.

I like those Les

I've sold a few of the Mach 3 and I bought a couple of fusion kits which I haven't turned yet though one of them is glued up in a tru-stone blank just sitting there.

Les,

The only thing we lack over here to promote this sort of thing, which is of course, as usual, beautifully made, is the never ending urge to go out and kill each other. We could then have gun shows and make everything concerned with deadly weapons. Our equivalent I suppose has to be the Southport flower show where being smitten by a chrysanthemum bloom by a member of the over eightys Scarborough flower arranging club is the most dangerous thing likely to happen.

Neil,
So over there you don't have Gun Clubs or Gun Shows?
Don't people use guns to hunt?

Les,

Gun shows, no. We do have Game and Country fairs at which there may be one or two 12 bore cartridge sellers, but apart from that, no. The sale of guns and ammunition is tightly regulated and the use of hand guns is not permitted at all, even in competition shooting. If you want to own a shotgun, you need a licence from the police and they will inspect your storage and security systems of not just the immediate area where you will store the weapon, but your entire house. Most hunting (if you call it that) is either pheasant or grouse, which entails turning up and employing beaters to kick the undergrowth in the hope of getting these lazy birds airborne so that some can pay exorbitant amounts of money to blast them from the sky at point blank range. There is some deer hunting in Scotland but its very expensive and very exclusive. Weapons here are still very rare, thankfully. We fail to understand why on earth everyone in the States think it right to go around armed to the teeth, hence my flippant comment about getting hit with a chrysanthemum bloom.

What Neil said Les.
I posted a few months ago of my experience with the police when I wanted to hand in a rusty 60 year old .22 rifle. The response I got was an immediate late night visit from an armed response unit and two burly armed policemen:nooidea:

We were in the US a couple of years ago and I stopped at what we would call a "boot" sale where I was astonished at huge the number of guns and amunition along with some vicious looking knives on open sale. All second hand and for very little money. almost every stall had at least a couple and several were nothing else but firearms
Can't remember exactly where though I took some photos but it was at the end of route 66 on the way from Grand Canyon to Vegas.

And that is why we don't get excited over weapons and ammunition.
We have properly trained armed forces, for those who feel urges to blast off, join the Army init?
