Do you use it as a final finish?

Or do you use an alternative, and if so, what?

I've been using Brasso, the chap at Axminster winked at me when I asked if that was the same as BC, and it's a tad cheaper.

I think I read somewhere that t-cut does the job?

It's smoke and mirrors, everyone swears by their finish.

There all just cutting pastes, the finer the abrasive in them the higher the shine will be, I believe even toothpaste will work init

They all do the same job to varying degrees, different grits for different materials.
None of em are new, go to your local motor factors and ask them what the latest trend is and they will sell you something that has been on the market for years but they have a promotion on to get rid init?
Save your money and use what you already have in the kitchen.

To answer the original questions.

Do you use it as a final finish? Burnishing cream is not a finish it is a mild abrasive used for polishing a finish that has already been applied.

Or do you use an alternative, and if so, what? There are lots of alternatives all of which, as Brian has already said, will do the same job to varying degrees. Here is a list to which you can add the Farecla compounds mentioned by Terry.

I think I read somewhere that t-cut does the job? See answer to previous question.

I use Faracela too but I'm not convinced that I get any better finish than the old bottles of car polish that I've got in abundance in the garage.

Have you ever used news paper

Yes, but it is too rough for my bottom and it leaves print marks. If only my bottom was like marble.
