Still on a bullet pen fad. I turned this one from a piece of Hazel, another one from Paulm. Then for a bit of fun I thinned down some black spirit stain, coated the blank and then took a blow torch to it. As the spirit stain evaporated it gave the burn an even finish. Then threw some ca at it and hey presto.
I know it's an acquired taste, but this is me we're talking about:funny:

Thats amazing Brody, only you would come up with something like that and it certainly does make a plain bit of old Hazel into something special. I'm not keen on the copper tip but apart from that Its fantastic... oh and somebody will love the copper tip which is why you shouldn't listen to me.

Why not I say and understand where you are coming from I did the same reasoning once with my motor bike I wondered what a burn around the block would feel and sound like so I did never regretted that. Thanks for sharing mate.

Seriously though it's an old technique used in the furniture finishing trades.
Seen my ol dad chuck a load paraffin at a table top and spark up the burner, a rub down and French polish gives a great effect init?

I've got to agree with Woody
Only Brody's mind could go off at such a tangent and end up with such a good looking pen :bwink:

Now don't go trying that with the other half, Brody! She won't come out looking as good and it will be the end of life as you know it.

:bwink:

Bloody good result even if it is a bullet pen.
