Paulm sent me some wonderful bits of wood so before our company arrived I went out and made these it was one pen blank of burr oak long enough to turn two pens a Lucida and a Barron Mk II it had some quite large voids which I filled with iron powder and thin CA glue and had to repeat the process three times when turning and a fourth application when the turning was finished both pens have a polish finish 3 coats shellwax friction polish a=followed by 5 coats of liberon woodturners stick

I'm glad you have sent it to you Woody, you've done it proud. The pen I made out of the same burr was sold this morning so I have to make another bling one now. I might just have a go with a Roman Harvest.

Indeed it is beautiful wood Woody, the wood really does make these pens look special and i like that the powder is used sparingly not over powering the wood .. Nice pens my friend ..

Super pens Woody I think the iron powder really compliments the burr oak and the kits, makes them that bit more special.
