There are often several different ways to carry out each process. As a result of this there are several of bits of equipment touted to pen turners that aren't really needed. As a beginner you have to do your research and make sure you don’t get sucked into making poor buying decisions. It also depends hugely on what equipment you already may have. Best thing to do is ask lots of questions on here! Most of us are pleased to help out newcomers.
