Now it's getting colder this time of the year here in the U.K., and I'm finding my CA is taking loads longer to dry. Can someone recommend a good activator or a better way of it drying? I've got 2 rads and a fan heater on it at the minute and its getting big colder!!

Yes, I've used Bond It ca activator for a while now and it's excellent. Does not leave any white residue that some activators do, and you can get it off ebay. Watch the quantities in the can, some are 200ml others are 400ml and usually better value.

How much do you use/how long do you spray for?

I give two very short bursts while it is spinning, probably from 10-12" away.

Another vote for Bond it I use the cheap thin CA glue from Poundworld and it works fine with that.

How cold is your shed ? ..

I would have thought if you have it up to a decent working temperature, that should be fine for the CA to cure.

What sort of CA are you using, is that causing the problem rather than an activator

Got it boys we are back in business, it's taken a while for the shed to warm up, but now using a thin CA, building up layers and activating between every four three times over. Using a lot more activator than normal now and probably found this out through trial and error, but it's all finishing quite nicely. Thanks everyone for your support - I'm on for the craft fair on Sunday!!

Amazed at the cheap pricing of the activator really pleased your problem is eased, if you give 25 coats you would feel like a pro spray painter at the end of the day. There is no great choice of p-urchase of spray over here.

Peter.
