Didn't realise I was opening such a can of worms. I would like to thank everyone for their comments, and as a lot of the comments have said I think it is up to individuals to make their own choice. I have got a mask which I am yet to use and after I have seen what effects it produces whilst wearing a mask I feel that I will be able to make a more informed decision. Regardless of how good a finish it gives I think my health is far more important and afterall there are other finishes that can be used.
