CA Glue

For someone who doesn't like working with gloves on, what do you recommend to remove CA glue from my hands?
Some nights it's like I have rubber gloves on there is so much stuck on my fingers.

I don't like wearing gloves either, but I do when using CA, It's not good for you!!! However, nail polish/varnish remover works. Just make sure you give your hands a good wash afterwards. I think it's acetone. Better to protect your hands though

Everyones action and reaction with Ca is different needless to say in your situation presuming it is finishing pens it might be in your technique getting so much on you. With pens I apply the CA at about 1500 revs with flded hand towel paper successfully without getting any on me.

Rather than CA have you tried Melamine finish?? I use it and find its way easier than CA...more versatile, and leaves my workshop smelling of peardrops
Phil Dart has done a good method of application on his Beaufort ink site.

I don't use CA for finishing but for segmenting, that's when my fingers get in the way. I suppose I'll have to wear gloves.

Get yourself a tin of acetone ..... works a treat.

Just doesn't taste too good as I found out when I stuck my cigar to my lip ...

When repairing a whistle for a friend I ca glued the fipple block into the mouthpiece and needed to blow into it to check that it was in far enough----- that's another story. getting ca on my hands isn't as unpleasant.

I use disposable laboratory gloves they are so thin you dont know you have them on.

Acetone is best for removal, go and buy cheap nail varnish remover which is acetone better still get the wife/girlfriend/boyfriend to save you any embarrassment

Thanks for the tip but today I put a pair of surgical gloves on and that seems the easy option. It was the small segment pieces that caused the problems, I'll just have to put the gloves on.
