I have a book called the pen turners workbook I bought it of evilbay. For £5 ish it had a section of making Cigar rings into blanks and also a painted tube that they were sticking small fish and foliage onto the blank and casting it in clear resin. This might be the way forward to decorate the painted blank then cast ????
Third edition by Barry Gross.
I regularly look through it and I would highly recommend it to anyone.
