Can you Help

I need to make a European PENCIL.
The only kit I can get is a Slimline Pencil kit.
By using different parts from European Pen Kit and the Slimline Pencil Kit I am nearly there, BUT I am now stuck in how to join the 2 turned parts to each other. I need the CENTER BAND of the Pencil Kit without the collar ( if you get what I mean ), In other words a straight Centre Piece.
Any one out there that can help I would love to hear from you with your ideas.

Thanks for the information, cost comes into the equation as once sorted out I will need possibly 10 pencils to start with but as they are for charity I have to watch my money. Pencils from Timberbits are a lot cheaper for my needs pity they are slimline

Surely the cost of buying two kits and butchering them is greater than the cost of buying the right kit in the first place?

Well the only other suggestion I can make is get some brass rod and make your own brass can be turned on a wood lathe with hss tools
