I bought some alloy rod for pen turning the other day then realised I'd chipped the last of my polished inserts some time back so I got these in the post today.

These give a great finish on aluminium alloys and plastics if you haven't tried them. I use a Tangential tool for most of my turning but carbide inserts work best for some jobs.
