Camatillo, i believe it is called Paul, the pieces i have had were very straight grained which i believe helps it look darker .. :thinks: Difficult to see the grain in this pen but well turned and finished my friend ..

She in agony with a water infection and driving me mad with it nit?
Bloody hard work looking after house and a sick missis init?

That's right, Camatillo it is. Tho photo has come out rather dark, in the flesh the timber is a rich royal purple with black streaks and occasional thin streaks of overgrown yellow sapwood. Really classy material and a bonny looking pen.

Thats not good Brian, I hope she gets better soon. The CMM had the same thing I think... I just spent more time in the shed :funny:
