Latest effort. Had terrible trouble with tear out at the bottom of the bowl but managed to get it all out in the end.

Thanks Derek
Just need to get the hang of turning the inside properly without having to do lots of sanding; not that I mind mind sanding, just want to improve my tool handling.

A nice little bowl Frederick, you’ve achieved a good finish.
If I get tearout I can’t get rid of I rub paste wax or finishing oil in the tearout, I sharpen my tool then take light cuts. The wax or oil lubricates the tool & instead of plucking fibres out of the timber the tool cuts better& gives a better result. Hope it helps.

I didn't think of that, good advice. I will definitely try that method and let you know how I get on.
