I decided I needed a new rollerball for the workshop and I was intending to make a custom clicker from scratch. As I was looking through my stash for a click mechanism to borrow from a donor pen I discovered I still had a couple of high quality kits. Beaufort Ink Mistrals to be precise.

So eve though I haven’t made a kit pen in quite a long time I decided, rather than complicating things, just to use the kits.

Anyway here is one of them. I used some vintage cellulose tubes. Coming back to making a kit pen after a while away was very enjoyable, and I was reminded just how good these pens are. And, of course, it’s far too nice for the workshop. So back to the pencil it is!

Cheers
Ash

Yes, Ash, that would indeed be a very grand workshop pen.
I did make a couple of wooden workshop pencils using sticks of graphite that I had purchased. and when finished I thought 'why did I bother?'
They are too wide to fit into a sharpener and too hard to sharpen with a craft knife! I have to sharpen them on my disc sander.
I have half a dozen shop bought pencils which do the job well anyway.
