The yew pen made for my wife had a soft grain on one side just under the pen clip. I had to CA glue it every third passing cut. In the end it was hard enough to cut and polish. All of my Yew blanks I cut from one piece of yew that I purchased from a small shop in Bronwydd, Carmarthan. All the photos of my pens are taken by my wife, one of her many hobbies which include, hand carving, turning bowls (on my lathe), pastel painting of pet portraits and disabled carriage driving.
