I picked up a bit of white oak for £1. Finished with epoxy resin for durable finish. One ring broke due to a crack in the grain, so I glued it with CA glue and now its interlocking.
A friend is getting it for his wedding at Christmas. I'm pleased, I hope he will be too.

I should think he will be pleased with that goblet well done on turning it.

A great recovery and opportunity with the ring I always cut one more ring than is needed and then break the worst one leaving the required amount.

Very nicely done. I once made a pair of goblets with the rings done that way but I also did a celtic knot in the cup part. Sold 1st day at the next show I did.

That is one helluva goblet Sid and if he's not pleased with it, send it to me, I'd be extremely happy to get such a thing.

Very nice! Thanks for clarifying the interlocking ring trick - if you hadn't said anything my brain might have exploded trying to figure it out!
