Yeh those came from Snainton Woodworking Supplies near Scarborough but I am sure you buy from many places.

Or glass ones from Ikea

Ah well if you want the truth I could not live with paint on the lathe,Workshop or me...l so....

I have a bench for the lathe when doing finishing polishing type stuff and added a hood for painting.... fits anything that the lathe can take across the bed less 10mm .... so for anything I am doing at the moment it’s great

PS it’s now got paint on it honest

Like it us mere mortals have to do it with a cardboard box can't afford a posh box like that

nice one saves the lathe and workshop the amount of times I see lathes for sale with loads of finish splatted all over them
