Changing nibs

Seeing phil's post asking about stocking nibs prompted the question. Not having ever thought about changing nibs before is it just a case of pulling the old one out and refitting a new one with the correct size. In other words are they just a push fit.

You need a large hammer which he doesn't show in the flick.
4 almighty blows eases the nib for making your film init?
Or maybe run it under some hottish water first
