Hi,

My collection of pens is growing and I need someone safe to store them. Where is the cheapest place I can get a carry/storage case?

Thanks

Ruth.

Hi Ruth,
the suppliers on the forum do various things. I have got wee velvet drawstring bags, they look quite nice from a couple. Oke craft do a box holds thirteen I think for £13 I think. look them up. Taylors, Beaufort etc.

I'm also after something, just for my own "special" ones

I use those as well, but looking for something a bit special.

Did think about making one, but I would be too critical so I'm trying to find the right size box, preferably with draws or a lid, then I can veneer it and polish it

Have you seen the guys selling watches when you are on holiday, sew a few bits of elastic on the inside of your jacket and you have a ready made selling point. bit like a Delboy contraband coat.:funny::funny::funny:

I use the same as woody, also got an old brief case left over from an old job that I converted.(seen them on car boot sales a few times) can get around 200 pens in.

My wife brought me the same one as Vic.

Important to note Ruth is when you buy and use your carry case to be sure they are fitted correctly (the pens) so they have not slipped etc or too big or too close sometimes better to reduce the number carried. Sometimes if you use CA to finish your pens they can degas and cause havoc in a case with platings.

Peter.
