Good luck Neil. I'd be sorry to see that one distort - it looks pretty damn fine just as it is. Have you considered the Hodgson Hot Wax approach?

To be honest Phil I love to see these sort of pieces move. Saying that I will be doing some demonstrations next year and have spoken to John about showing his method in some. He and Jenni are likely to be at Harrogate this year. What with them, the Halls, and the Greenwood's things are likely to get messy! :whistling:

THe prospects of major movement are evident in the wild grain Neil, who knows which way and when, keen to see the dry finished flat shaped bowl mate.

As long as John doesn't bring any bloody geese with him, you should be fine. Just keep that Greenwood fella under tight control - he's a devil when he gets going.

Missed this one Neil what a lovely crutch you have and hope it does not play up as there is nothing worse than a split crutch.:whistling::whistling::whistling:

That looks a beautiful bowl Neil. I just hope it doesn’t split. you don’t want a split crotch on top of your other health problems, it’ll certainly cross your eyes.:funny:

Thanks all.
I need to take a picture of what the crotch looks like now.
It has risen, fallen, gone bent, and warped, but as yet has not split.

I need to mock up the table for the Christmas Fayre on Saturday, then get it all packed up first though. Anything else would be multitasking!:whistling::funny:
