Cherry salt mill

As a birthday gift I was given a course in mill making, this was my first effort and it was interesting to use sawtooth bits in addition to turning. Wood is cherry.

Paul you have great taste, neat grinder how did you fare with the much discussed sawtooth bits mate. Instruction saves heaps of time and basic errors the Cherry Timber fitting and good colour.

To be fair it's the only bit I've used!

But the instructor showed us the different bits and I can see why the sawtooth would be better. We used a carbine something for the 24m cut and that was good. But certainly was recommended the sawtooth for 38mm.

I bought a video by Ted Sokolowski, named "Making a Peppermill" a few months ago Paul, it is on the back burner like many other projects i want to do .. If ever i get around to making them i hope they look as good as this one my friend .. Great shape and finish, love it.. :thumbs:
