I made a half serious comment earlier on and meant it since fairly obviously your pieces are improving significantly.
I came back to it again because something struck me.... If you remove the 'Trees' and concentrate on the big snowman there is a correct proportion (as Derek said you used pine which is a difficult wood) but looking at the hat, the shape is really nice because you have got both the shape of the top hat and also the 'Comical' shape in the curve of the upright face of the top hat. Also the head to body is essentially right; I say 'essentially' because the head could have been marginally smaller but that is my aesthetics speaking and not yours or someone else's. And finally, I like the foot because it gives the impression of feet which helps to 'humanise' it.
If you happen to be passing in the SW France near Cahors, let me know and I have a load of wood which I can offer you free so as you can add to your repertoire.
Develop those snowmen for the Christmas markets (probably in Beech or ash) perhaps with candles in their hats or earrings around their top hat brims, turn the top hat into a box lid with the body holding toothpicks etc.
