Its not that heavy but would probably bend the end of a flimsy christmas tree branch. I want to have a go with a longer one as I have some 10" tube but might have to hollow it out a bit if the CMM wants to put it on the tree.

Nice one Paul. I've just yesterday made a couple of small ones from acrylic offcuts.
Why do you need a long tube btw? Can't you just glue a short bit of tube in each end of the blank?
