There is a moth in France whose caterpillars are devastating the boxwoods all around, it can be got rid of, but many people are just ripping up their hedges and giving me the wood so I have found a use for the thinner branches.

8 down 32 to go!! a few Xmas tree decorations

Its not small amounts its 5 trailer loads, these are just the thin branches, the trunks aren't dry yet!! and out of the partially dry ones I have managed to make 5 sculptors mallets!! They are literally ripping up whole forests of the stuff and most of it is being burned despite a law in France forbidding bonfires.

Very nice Pierre. Boxwood is certainly welcome. I am almost tempted to hitch up a trailer and come over! (Just joking)

I'm not sure, Aiguines is 10 hours drive or train from my place, but nothing is impossible...
Btw Pierre, if you play with forms for your Xmas tree, I could recommand this book. No bla-bla, just drawings, it has proved to be a very nice base for my daily exercise. What else to do with so much boxwood ? :whistling:
