Christmas street market

Yesterday was a great day. Had a stall at a local Christmas street market where there were choirs, bands, singers from the X factor, stilt walkers, panto characters, Father Christmas and even a snow machine.
The crowds resembled Portobello Road antiques market you see on TV. I nearly sold all my stock of pens and other turned items. I have asked to be invited again next year so I will have to dive into Timber Bits after Christmas to build up supplies again so hope they are as good as you all say.
I think I may have blotted my copy book with Turners Retreat for buying kits as I complained about the high prices for kits in the new catalogue compared with Timberbits but he said his prices had gone up so we have to pay the price…………no we don’t!!!!!!!!

Yes it is sad that we can send off for our kits half way around the world and still be a lot cheaper than someone 25 minutes up the road from me ...

Well done on your sales Maurice, it makes it all worth the while ...

Timber bits kits are excellent.
Ordered 2 leather look pen cases last Tuesday, parcel came this morning .
Unfortunately no cases , :sob:
What I received was TB own order for their own rolls of bar coded sales labels for their shop ???
thousands of them :thinks: weight 11 kg
I have contacted them ASAP , should get a reply by the morning too see what they want me to do with them.

Glad it was a sell out.. And great to see you planning already for 2014 Christmas

The problem in the UK is that they have to import all the kits from the same areas as we can import from.. They rely on bulk discount rebates so they can mark up to make a profit..

So importing kits yourself can pay dividends.. There is nothing special about importing but some of the UK suppliers just rely on those persons that have no confidence in doing it..
