This is a Chrome workshop Pencil with Myrtle Burr. The fact that the top plunger need to be CA'd into place means I wouldn't sell these as I would be too worried that the plunger could come off so I will at last have my own.

I like the look of these nicely made Peter. Can you not use epoxy to glue it which I would have thought is the stronger glue of the two

There might be a problem using epoxy, but I am not 100% sure, I can hold the plunger in place while the CA sets, but with epoxy it would be impossible to hold it in place and the epoxy would run.

I've never heard a good report about these kits, but it hasn't stopped you doing a fine job with the turning and finishing Peter. It's a great looker.

I made my Granddaughter one with a PSI Kit and even that needed the plunger glued in, I bought 5 of these from Billy knowing that they would be for me, family and friends, not for sale.

Well whatever the limitations of the kit is certainly looks the part and you have made an excellent job of it.

I've made a few of these for family, and only one had a minor issue - the centre band was not a tight enough fit on the top tube

No, it's just the way the manufacturer has designed them. There are some better kits, not from Rizheng, where the plunger actually screw in and not glues in.

Nice looker Peter.

With the Rizheng kits I have used a center punch on the sides of the tubes before gluing them in the blank, having said that I have not brought any for a while as the kit quality is poor and not what I expect TBH.
