You know Les, you make pens and as such I'm not over fascinated because they are just that (I also hate the Sierra because the customer can destroy it in a single mistaken pull ...ask Walter) .

BUT what does fascinate me is that you dress those mechanisms with extremely good quality blanks and assemblies such this one, which is gorgeous; it is precise and you can't see any of the glue joins so it spells quality. I wish I had your (cheaper) access to those blanks as well as those that you make. I would really like to see what you could do on a good quality kit. (like a Sirocco).

There are so many fountain pen monsters simply waiting to destroy the most elaborate and expensive kit I salute the sellers of pens and their fortitude,no such thing as a child proof pen kit either, still a dream.

Letter to Les Elm.

I have never seen such dedication to outstanding quality. I can remember clearly your professional wooden locks, scroll saw masterpieces, equipment restorations.I have remarked it would be a privilige to live in your immaculate workshop.

As a Pioneer Penturner you belong in a Hall Of Fame.

Who else would comb through a Lake for the bullets fired during WW2 using 50 mm ammunition. Then create masterpiece pens with those bullets.

Live in near Arctic conditions.

My carry pen you cast for me with two tied flies, traced to a Mallard Duck feather one either side of a pen. Brings total amazement to everyone who sees it.

You do not just market you create a market the like of which I have never seen, year in and out.

I am reminded not to cringe in our winters.

Kind regards Peter.
