Took a chance with these Click Pens from a small Family Business in England.
PROKRAFT. Jon is fantastic to deal with and so willing to help,he deserves people to buy from him.

The pens are slimline with a click mechanism and in my view one of the best. The ones I have are gold but Jon is getting others in the next few weeks. Although I say they are very good I have not tried them over a period yet as they are something new on this market. For just
£3.99 its worth trying to see what you think. I'm happy and going to order a lot more before you lot get them.

Do you mean that there is another slimline Click Pen with the same mechanism as this one. I 'm not sure what you mean by Slimline frame.

Try one of these,slimline is one of my best sellers so hoping this slimline clip pen will have the same success. Not putting them on show until near the end of the year.

Glen, frame is the term that is frequently used in Canada and the US for what we would call a kit. Frame = kit.
Just had a quick peek at the site you mention - a fairly wide selection of goods there, but I'm sorry to tell you that it is mostly, if not all, just bought from Ali Express and put on line for more that was paid for it. There is merit in having someone buy in this stuff for you, thereby saving you the hassle of import but I think that if you've just paid the best part of four quid for it, you've probably paid £2 more than everyone else on ebay, and all the penkit dot whatever sellers flog them for.

Take a look here for instance. Woodturning Slimline CLICK pen kit 24ct Gold Plated *ON OFFER* Prokraft PKR CLG | eBay
The very same guy is selling them on ebay for less than half what you've just paid for them. Integrity counts for a lot I would say, but aside from that, if you search around you will find the same thing all over the place for a similarly low price.

The mechanism is a standard Chinese 7mm mechanism, and I would suggest that if you want to produce slimline clicks, you have a look at the ones from Turners Retreat. They are made by Berea, the mechanisms are many times superior to the Chinese ones, and they still cost less than you've just paid.

I must be doing something wrong. I have looked on ebay for slimline click pen kits and can only find the one I have used which you have stated. Can you give me more information what to look up. Also I cannot find the ones on Turners Retreat.

As you say, plenty of slimline pencils out there, which leads to confusion on first look, but precious few slimline click ballpoints. I apologise for the misleading information I gave you:goesred:

Thanks for being honest I thought there might be a mistake. Before I bought the kits I researched them for hours on all sort of sites and could not find any others. I honestly believed I had found something special and unique. Dead chuffed with your remarks, all is forgiven.

May I suggest that before levelling criticism you check your facts first - the Ebay listing prices the lowest items first (this is set by Ebay and cannot be changed) and the price of £1.80 refers to the refill packs not the pen kit.

Our business started out buying through Aliexpress but has evolved and we now get many items specially made for us - they are unique to Prokraft and whilst not relevant to pen turning we have bottle stoppers, fiddle rails and a whole range of specialist hinges that are made to our specification. We are not and never intend to be a specialist pen kit supplier we try to offer a few different kits when we can find them.

I am pleased to say that we fully check all our products and facts before either publishing or selling anything online and hence our integrity is fully intact.

Your point is both well made and well taken Jon. I have apologied in my previous post for for my mis-informed opinion, and am happy to fall on my sword and confess to not properly checking my facts.

On the plus side, your business, and your pen kit in particular has received some publicity and exposure, and I wish you every success with it.
