I've been playing with my cnc machine now for a while, trying to find out about feeds and speeds etc. Although I still don't know what any of it should really be I thought I'd have a go at a clock face to fit a mechanism I bought. This is the first attempt which has probably come out better than I expected.

I don't know what wood it is as it was a bit of something I had unmarked but I think it might be Beech.

Its been very interesting working out the positions for everything and the angles for the small lines etc.

Think what you could do with a 3D printer LOL :thumbs:

I'm thinking but one of my thoughts is that it would be harder to learn than the cnc and I'm still trying to scratch the surface with that.

Very nice indeed. Looks like you have been having fun. Is the CNC machine a home made one or purchased, would love to see some photo's of it

Does not look like beech

I think you're right, I thought it was Ash to start with and have gone back to thinking that. In the machine it looked quite different.
