Having starting to shake through a lack of turning, I escaped for an hour to play and had another go at a closed end pen. This one is made from Padauk and Purple heart with an ebony nib. I need to escape again to make the stand.

Fascinating Paul worth every minute of the time you spent, I have no excuse for shaking it comes with the territory for me.

You must have a lot of patience to construct pens this way.

Kind regards Peter.

That looks excellent Paul, is the nib push fit?

Well it was supposed to be Doug but it was just a tad loose so I glued it in to a tube and that pushes into the pen itself.
