I've been getting a bit bored with same old acrylics from the likes of Axminster that I decided I would try something a bit special so I bought 2 or 3 Conway Stewart blanks from Vinnie. This one is called Flecked Autumn. Really nice to turn however I had 3 voids appear after I'd turned it down that had to be filled with CA, might have been air bubbles. Shame about that but they're not really noticeable if you didn't know they were there. Sanded to 800 grit then polished with an auto paint scratch remover.

According to the reflections you are blessed with an assistant photographer Ray the pen came out well fun to play with different materials.

Love it Ray. If Conway Stewart could sell them for £100s that's worth a bit:thumbs:

I'm calling in next week to buy some more and that is one of the patterns I looked at on Saturday, it's a beautiful blank, shame about the voids . You should send Vince a photo of the pen as I'm sure he'd be interested.
